TIM

Technical Interchange Meeting

What it actually means

A working-level technical meeting between organizations — contractor and customer, prime and sub — to exchange design information and work issues, without the formality or baseline consequences of a design review. TIMs are where real technical alignment happens; reviews are where it's demonstrated.

Where you'll meet it

Between-review coordination on any multi-organization technical effort.
