Integrated Product Team
What it actually means
A cross-functional team — engineering, manufacturing, logistics, test, contracts, the customer — jointly responsible for a product or process, so that issues get worked concurrently instead of thrown over functional walls in sequence. The idea is sound; the failure mode is IPTs that are meetings rather than teams with authority.
