CDRL
Contract Data Requirements List
What it actually means
The contract exhibit enumerating every data deliverable — plans, reports, drawings, models — the contractor owes the government, each item tied to a Data Item Description that defines its format and content. If a document isn't on the CDRL, the government generally has no right to demand it; if it is, delivering it is as binding as delivering hardware.
Where you'll meet it
Contract exhibits (usually Exhibit A) and data management tracking on every DoD contract.
