Technical Performance Measure
What it actually means
A critical technical parameter tracked over time against its allocated target and margin — weight, power draw, latency, detection range — with planned burn-down as design matures. TPMs are the early warning system of systems engineering: a weight TPM trending through its margin at CDR is telling you about a problem the schedule doesn't show yet.
